#Lftrght

About the project

#lftrght is a campaign outcome aimed at educating disinterested Generation Y voters to re-consider their social media interests and re-engage in important political events. The UI outcome was designed from the findings in a primary and secondary research document that identified a lack of interest and engagement in politics from Generation Y voters, but a strong engagement in other areas such as pop culture.

The user-generated website

The #lftrght UI outcome is a user-generated website that takes trending keywords from Twitter and creates different sized bubbles depending on each topics popularity. The theory is that it compares different issues on the left and right side of the website and forces a comparison between serious and non-serious topics highlighted by either a pink (generally political) or yellow (non-serious) colour.
